The VOLTRADER Energy Manager is a compact gateway for energy management. It connects PV systems, battery storage, wallboxes and heat pumps – regardless of manufacturer – into one integrated energy system that serves as the interface between the energy assets and our Energy IoT platform.

Fast and flexible installation: Unlike conventional gateways, which often have to be mounted and wired on DIN rails in overcrowded control cabinets, the VOLTRADER can be placed decentrally, directly on or next to the devices. This allows easy self-installation by end users and convenient remote configuration by installers.

Versatile connectivity: The VOLTRADER supports a wide range of wired and wireless networking technologies, including Ethernet, fieldbuses, WLAN, Bluetooth and LTE. With a 4-core processor, it is as powerful as a modern smartphone.

Compact Design for Efficient Installation
The compact form factor of the VOLTRADER enables fast installation and straightforward system upgrades:

No DIN rail mounting: Unlike conventional gateways, the VOLTRADER does not need to be mounted on a DIN rail in an often crowded control cabinet. Nor do the energy devices need to be wired to the control cabinet, saving material costs and time.

Decentralised placement: The VOLTRADER can be mounted directly on the energy devices or on the wall, enabling decentralised placement – especially useful for retrofits.

Manufacturer-Independent Device Connection
The VOLTRADER enables manufacturer-independent networking of a wide range of devices and systems:

Support for all relevant device classes: The VOLTRADER supports PV inverters, hybrid inverters with DC-coupled battery storage, AC-coupled energy storage systems, heat pumps, immersion heaters, energy meters and smart metering systems.

Highly flexible networking: Energy devices can be connected by cable via Ethernet, I/O, RS-485 and S0, or wirelessly via WLAN and (adapters may be required).
