Separate collection of waste equipment
Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste must not be disposed of with household waste. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates this obligation to collect separately. Waste equipment may contain pollutants that endanger the environment and health if disposed of improperly; it also contains valuable raw materials that are recycled.
Remove batteries and lamps
Waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the device, as well as lamps that can be removed without being destroyed, must be separated from the device before handing it in at a collection point.
Return options
You can hand in waste equipment free of charge at the collection points of the public waste management authorities (recycling centres). In addition, we take back waste equipment within the scope of our statutory obligations under § 17 ElektroG — in particular, when you buy a new device of the same type, an old device of the same type at our Moers warehouse. Please contact us before returning it.
Personal data
Please delete any personal data (e.g. in smart meters, app-connected inverters or storage systems) yourself before handing in the device.
Photovoltaic modules
Photovoltaic modules are also electrical equipment within the meaning of the ElektroG and must not be disposed of with household waste. Municipal recycling centres accept quantities typical for households.
